Asset Leader

Orange Sky is a non-profit organisation that provides access to free laundry services to those in our communities experiencing all forms of hardship. Our latest service in Bendigo is launching July 1st, 2024. 

We are looking for a volunteer with the following skills, experience or attributes:

1. Be over 18 years old

2. Have reasonable computer literacy to operate within our volunteer management system (to complete onboarding and training, set unavailability, check rosters, etc), and communicate with the team via WhatsApp

3. Must be able to physically operate the shift, including lifting full laundry baskets, setting up and packing down shift

4. Willingness and ability to engage in meaningful, non-judgemental conversation with our friends (users of Orange Sky services)

5. Assisting with incident management where required

6. Able to be flexible to assist with repairs or maintenance as required, which may be as simple as meeting a repairman at the pod and providing them with access

7. Willing and open to learn new technologies or platforms as required (training will be provided)

8. Stock management, staying on top of consumables supplies to ensure teams have what they need 

May have some display experience but not essential:

1. Appliance maintenance

2. Minor repairs

3. Problem solving

4. Ability to attend shifts if possible in regular volunteer capacity 

Training provided:

1. Full training provided, both in person as   well as online modules covering Orange Sky procedures, culture and   expectations
