About

Dementia Auckland supports people living with dementia, and their carers and families, in the greater Auckland region with free specialised services to help them to make the most of each day.

Our free services include Dementia Key Workers who offer intensive support and practical strategies for the carer of a person with dementia, including home visiting, telephone consultations, and support groups. The Socialisation team offers meaningful and interest based activities throughout the area, providing the person with dementia opportunities for friendship and activity, while providing respite for the carer. And finally the Education team provides in-depth information and strategies to carers, the general community and to other service providers.

With 16,000 people in Auckland affected by dementia, and that number expected to triple by 2050, Dementia Auckland relies on donations from the community to continue to provide this level of support.
